TARDIS| RIVER SONG/THE DOCTOR FANART | BUZZFEED.COM

Welcome to the Doctor Who “Totally Awesome, Ridiculously Doctor-like Internet Stuff” or TARDIS. This is a daily feature here on Doctor Who Cast. We scour the internet for the sweetest of the sweet that lovers of the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who have created.

If you like what we’ve done here we hope you keep on coming back for more Delectable Doctor Goodies. We also hope you will give our podcast “Doctor Whocast” a chance! It is the only Podcast that travels in time, as well as, handles organic matter from Daleks.

Today’s “Totally Awesome, Ridiculously Doctor-like Internet Stuff” is a Doctor Who fanart created by (who else?) a fan, who had submitted this drawing onto buzzfeed.  This site has a page-full of Doctor Who related fanart, which are all awesome in their own way, so I urge you all to check it out!  But the following piece of art, however, stood out to me the most.  Depicted below is a beautiful, yet, dismal, scene of River Song killing The Doctor in front of his TARDIS.

This pic is a gorgeous display of one of the many ways The Doctor’s death could have played out, had River decided to take a more savage approach to murdering him.  It comes off as morose and, simultaneously, romantic.  The work of this particular fanart looks like something reminiscent of a Tarot card, between the shades of the colors, the placement of the images, and The Victorianesque tones and details.  I admire the fact that the artist included the Gallifreyan symbols on the bottom, bordering River’s name; I thought that was a nice touch!  Overall, I find it to be an impressive work of art.  You can also find this, among other works, here: http://www.buzzfeed.com/doctorwho/the-very-best-of-doctor-who-fan-art
